The Pernick True-Matic Inspection systems, the most advanced in the marketplace today, detect fabric shortages BEFORE the fabric is cut. By inspecting first, you eliminate costly problems later on such as spreading unusable fabric and inefficient inspection in the cutting room which can lead to costly delays in production time.

The True-Matic can inspect all sorts of fabrics, from denim to warp knits, but is especially good for stretchables and elastics.

ELASTIC FABRIC MANUFACTURERS & USERS RELAX-
Perfect Tensionless Inspection of Stretchables!

The Pernick True-Matic machines were created because many apparel manufacturers, especially those producing intimate apparel, activewear and swimwear, using fabrics with elastic yarns were facing the following problems:
  • Incorrect length measurements on fabrics rolls that cause over payment for goods and not enough fabric to complete orders.
  • Incorrect width measurements on fabric rolls that cause poor utilization of fabric when using computerized pattern marking system.
  • Excessive tension in the spread fabrics that cause “bounce-back” in the cut patterns.
The above problems were created by fabric manufacturers who did not have the ability to do the following during the debatching operation:
  • Release the tension from the fabric when the length and width measurements are recorded.
  • Rewind the measured fabric in a roll ready for shipment to the apparel manufacturer with tensions that do not exceed 2%.
The industry standards are now being set by the Pernick True-Matic systems that have solved these problems with elastic fabrics by using a relaxing, measuring and rerolling system designed with the following features:
  1. An automatic loop system or systems to release the tension from the fabric roll and permit correct length and width measurements.
  2. Calibrated length and width measuring devices.
  3. A motor drive system that allows the fabric to be rewound with a maximum 1 1/2 or 2% controlled tension for shipping.

  • The let-off cradle feed Rollers “A” and the loop feed roller “B” are auto-matically driven by the short loop detection system.
  • The driven square bar “C” shakes the short loop to aid relaxation.
  • The stainless steel scroll roller “D” gently removes any wrinkles that might occur in the short loop system.
  • The only pressure against the scroll roller is the weight of the fabric in the short loop.
  • Driven rollers “E” are the length measuring system. The fabric is presented to the “E” rollers in a relaxed state. The fabric is measured without any tension or slippage that cause errors in the length measurement of other machines. The length measuring rollers “E” contact the fabric from the back only, thus eliminating any surface marks which would be caused by a wheel length counter touching the face of the fabric.
  • The double roll surface wind batcher rollers “F” rewind the fabric. The two motor range drive system allows the operator to set the tension or overfeed between rollers “E” and rollers “F”.
