The variable speed driven let-off cradle is especially important when you need to unwind a tightly wound fabric roll into a short relaxed loop before the length measurement is taken. The machine can be manufactured with an edge guiding system that produces a straight edged roll even when the fabric is released into a relaxed short loop after the driven feed cradle.
