Click here for an important update regarding the Inspector

Pernick created the Inspector series machines to solve the two most common problems in fabric inspection: 1. lack of equipment that can handle the variety of fabrics required to meet fashion’s changing needs; 2. low productivity due to the manual handling of fabric rolls.

These machines pay for themselves many times over by helping to detect fabric defects and incorrect yardage BEFORE the fabric is placed on the cutting tables.

The variable speed driven let-off cradle is especially important when you need to unwind a tightly wound fabric roll into a short relaxed loop before the length measurement is taken. Inspectors can be manufactured with an edge guiding system that produces a straight edged roll even when the fabric is released into a relaxed short loop after the driven feed cradle.

STANDARD FEATURES:
  • Variable speed driven let-off cradle for 24” (60 cms.) max. diam. or 150 lbs. (68 kilos) max. weight fabric roll
  • Inspection surface with through light
  • Overhead light
  • Trumeter length measuring counter in either yards and 1/10’s or meters and 1/10’s
  • Double roll surface wind batcher
  • Foot and reversing switches
  • Variable speed main drive, 0-60 ypm. (54 mpm.) wired for 115/1/60, 15 amp service
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:
  • Magazine load and unload device
  • Pneumatic controls (compressed air required) for magazine - recommended when fabric roll weights exceed 55 lbs. (25 kilos)
  • Edge guiding system
  • Modification to length measuring counter to contact the back of the fabric
  • Wired for 220/1/50, 10 amp service

  • A driven loop system for elastic fabrics
